On May 12, the Global Institute of Future Technology (GIFT) held the third meeting with the Chairperson for 2026. The meeting drew 15 students from the inaugural MD+PhD Dual Doctoral Program, along with college leadership including Tianshu Ge, Chairperson of GIFT Council; Haibo Han, Deputy Chairperson; Yanming Wang, Secretary of Faculty Party Branch, and directors from relevant offices.

Students shared constructive suggestions covering curriculum design, mentor resources, course scheduling, qualification exam timelines, early clinical research exposure, thesis management, international exchange, information sharing platforms, student services such as cross-campus transportation and Party application procedures across colleges.

Tianshu Ge acknowledged the value of the feedback, encouraging students to remain open and proactive in refining the program as its first participants. She reaffirmed GIFT's commitment to improving academic support, development planning, information systems and student services. Moving forward, GIFT will establish follow-up evaluation mechanisms to enhance the program and strengthen its role in cultivating interdisciplinary talent through deep integration of medicine and engineering.
