Recently, Shanghai Jiao Tong University announced the 2025 Teaching Achievement Awards. The project "Innovation and Practice of Interdisciplinary Integrative Talent Cultivation Model in Future Technology Fields" led by Jun Ni, Dean of the Global Institute of Future Technology (GIFT), was awarded the First Prize.

Guided by the "Three-Dimensional Breakthrough" concept to meet core needs of new engineering development, the project reconstructs talent cultivation paradigms by breaking "disciplinary boundary" "learning boundary" and "school boundary" through a modular interdisciplinary curriculum, comprehensive practical platforms, and deepened industry-academia-research integration, forming a multi-dimensional collaborative network to support interdisciplinary innovators. It integrates systematic education into theory and practice, merging multidisciplinary knowledge with cutting-edge industrial needs to boost students' problem-solving and innovative thinking, fostering a thriving ecosystem where students excel in research and competitions, GIFT's influence grows, and global partnerships expand – offering a transferable model for nurturing top engineering talents in the new era.
