The center aims at new methods and technologies for a better understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of neurological disorders. On the healthcare side, the center intends to build minimally invasive brain-computer interface, explore innovative neural stimulation modalities, and develop novel drugs and gene therapy for individualized intervention. On the basic science side, the center intends to develop a digital twin of the human brain and to achieve breakthroughs in understanding consciousness, cognition, and human brain intelligence.
