Dean

      Professor Jun Ni is the dean of Global Institute of Future Technology and special counsel to the President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.He has also been the Chief Manufacturing Officer and co-president of engineering manufacturing and R&D system of CATL since 2020. Prof. Ni is mainly engaged in the field of advanced manufacturing sciences, and is committed to research on intelligent manufacturing technologies, including precision quality control based on industrial big data analysis and artificial intelligence technologies, optimization of manufacturing operations, reliability and health management of major equipment, and intelligent maintenance systems. He has received numerous honors, including China International Science and Technology Cooperation Award, MOE Higher Education Teaching Project National First Prize, and Gold Medal of Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). He was co-chairman for the Global Future Council on Advanced Manufacturing and Production at the World Economic Forum, and was named one of SME’s “20 Most Influential Professors in Smart Manufacturing”.
