At noon of March 5, GIFT 2421 held the first class meeting in the institute’s meeting room 200. Head teacher, Songan Zhang, connected remotely. Bohan Feng and Yuqing Zhao from the Student Affairs Office gathered with the students in the class to welcome the arrival of the new semester in the form of a lunch discussion.
After the first semester of exploration and learning in college, the students have accumulated many questions in their minds. Before the meeting, the monitor Mengyan Chen had collected students’ confusions regarding the new semester and the problems they have encountered. The head teacher and teachers from all departments prepared carefully and answered to all students’ questions. Drawing from the teaching experience, as well as their personal experiences, the teachers provided students with easy-to-understand answers on questions related to various aspects, such as academics, competitions, scientific research, employment, and summer social practice, and put forward practical suggestions.
Afterwards, Bohan Feng invited two students who participated in winter vacation social practice to share their experiences. Haoran Chen shared his unforgettable experience in Dream Building Group, and Zhenyang Qian talked about what he saw and heard when he visited the hospital and learned about medical equipment.
Happy times are always short, and the class meeting ended with laughter and joy. We believe that the students of the GIFT 2421 class will continue to work hard and harvest the fruits of their hard work, writing their wonderful chapters in the new semester.
