At noon on February 28, the unveiling ceremony of the Students’ Integrated Media Center of GIFT was successfully held on the fourth floor of the West Environmental Building. The event was attended by Jie Cao, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Jiao Tong University Committee; Li Yu, Associate Professor of the School of Media and Communication; Tianshu Ge, Secretary of the Party Committee of GIFT; Haibo Han, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of GIFT; as well as representatives responsible for publicity across different areas, publicity officers of student organizations, and members of the Students’ Integrated Media Center. The event was hosted by Haibo Han.
Tianshu Ge delivered a speech on behalf of the institute. She congratulated the students on the establishment of the Integrated Media Center and shared three key expectations: first, to integrate resources and build a unified publicity matrix to enhance communication efficiency; second, to delve into content creation and strengthen professional capabilities, using high-quality works to showcase scientific spirit and innovative achievements; and third, to focus on the institute’s distinctive features, leveraging research advantages in areas such as new energy and artificial intelligence to promote the spirit of scientific exploration at SJTU.
On behalf of the university's Publicity Department, Cao Jie extended congratulations on the establishment of the Students’ Integrated Media Center of GIFT. He offered three suggestions:
First, he emphasized the importance of strengthening ideological guidance by deeply integrating science communication with ideological and political education, promoting the spirit of scientists. Second, he recommended to enhance collaboration between the university and the institute, fostering resource-sharing and cooperation both on and off-campus. Third, he suggested that the center should focus on the needs of students and faculty by sharing compelling stories of student growth, addressing social concerns, and using accessible language to convey technological applications and humanistic reflections, thus elevating the academy’s publicity efforts to new heights.
Bohan Feng presented the construction plan of the Students’ Integrated Media Center, highlighting the objectives such as reinforcing the characteristics of the college, encouraging students initiatives, improving content quality, and outlining construction ideas related to the platform, work content, and future prospects.
Tianshu Ge issued the appointment letter of advisor of the GIFT Students’ Integrated Media Center to Li Yu.
Jie Cao appointed Yuyan Guan and Yilin Wang as members of the Director's Corps of the Students’ Integrated Media Center.

GIFT attaches great importance to publicity work, adhering to the unique characteristics of the college and showcasing the spirit of youth. Guided by the college, the Students’ Integrated Media Center will focus on the characteristics of the college, promote the new media initiatives, share GIFT`s story, and fully showcase the vibrant style of GIFT students.
