Yabing Qi    Chair Professor   
Personal Introduction ： Professor Yabing Qi obtained his Bachelor's degree from Nanjing University in 2000, Master's degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2002, and Ph.D. degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2008. From 2008 to 2011, he conducted postdoctoral research at Princeton University in the United States. Over the past two decades, Professor Qi has made outstanding contributions to surface and interface science and energy materials, actively promoting the continuous in-depth development of research in this field. He was awarded the Kao Science Award by the Kao Foundation for Arts and Sciences (Japan) in 2022, the JSPS Prize by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science in 2023, and elected as a Foreign Member of the Engineering Academy of Japan in 2024. He has published more than 200 SCI papers in internationally renowned academic journals, with an H-index of 83 and a total of over 20,000 citations. More than 20 of his papers are ESI highly cited papers. He was selected as a 2024 "Highly Cited Chinese Researcher" by Elsevier, and has been consecutively listed as a "Highly Cited Researcher" by Clarivate since 2021. He is also a Fellow of the Materials Research Society, the American Vacuum Society, and the Royal Society of Chemistry.
