• About

The realization of the dual-carbon goal has put forward increasingly high requirements on the performance of secondary batteries. Solid-state battery is a next-generation secondary battery technology of wide global concern, using solid electrolytes instead of flammable liquid electrolytes that are expected to break through the ceiling of safety and energy density at the same time. Facing the major national needs of large-scale energy storage and electrified transportation, the Center focuses on the frontier scientific problems of solid-state batteries, and brings together the strengths of basic disciplines to guide the creation of key materials through the innovation of methodologies and theoretical mechanisms, to achieve breakthroughs in the comprehensive performance of solid-state batteries, to produce academic results with international influence, and to support the development of basic battery technologies.
