Global Institute of Future Technology (GIFT hereafter) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University is one of the first 12 Institutes of Future Technology established by the Ministry of Education of China. Founded on August 19, 2021, GIFT is committed to building an internationally influential faculty, creating a cutting-edge interdisciplinary teaching and research platform, and cultivating innovative scientific and technological leaders who can address global challenges and contribute to future development.
At GIFT, the Center for Brain Health is positioned to answer the call from major needs such as the China Brain Project and Space Neuroscience. Based on the study of brain-computer interface and cognition, the center integrates artificial intelligence to explore new technologies for enhancing brain health and brain function, builds digital twins of the human brain, and aims to achieve major breakthroughs in understanding consciousness, cognition, and emotion.

3. Requirements
1. Chair Professor/Distinguished Professor/Tenured Professor
(1) Served as a professor or an equivalent role in related fields in a top university or research institution;
(2) Achieved significant and peer-recognized academic accomplishments;
(3) Have high international impact in related fields.
2. Overseas Excellent Youth Program
(1) 40 years old or younger;
(2) Possess a doctorate degree with research areas in STEM;
(3) Obtained a formal teaching or research position in an overseas university, research institution, or industrial R&D institution, and had more than 36 consecutive months of work experience; the requirement for working years is relaxed for those who have obtained a doctorate overseas and have particularly outstanding academic performance;
(4) Obtained scientific or technological achievements recognized by peer experts, and have the potential to become academic leaders in related fields.

3. Tenure-track Associate Professor
(1) 40 years old or younger; the requirement is relaxed for those who are particularly outstanding;
(2) Obtained a doctorate degree from a top university or research institution, and have more than three years of work experience in related fields;
(3) Carried out innovative and frontier research work, and demonstrated strong academic potential and teaching ability.
4. Tenure-track Assistant Professor
(1) Obtained a doctorate degree from a top university or research institution;
(2) Generally 35 years old or younger;
(3) Obtained certain achievement in related fields, academically active, and have great academic potential.
5. Assistant Research Scientist
(1) Ph.D., postdoctoral experience is preferred;
(2) Generally 35 years old or younger;
(3) Obtained certain achievement in related fields and have a solid research foundation.
6. Postdoctoral Fellow
(1) Generally 35 years old or younger;
(2) Three years within obtaining a doctorate degree;
(3) Possess solid theoretical knowledge and are able to carry out scientific research work independently.
